After School Math
 Program Overview

Moving with Math® Math by Topic programs allow teachers to focus on specific math topics or choose to cover all topics for the appropriate grade. All options include assessment and test preparation materials with daily reviews and reteaching pages for all objectives in the grade.

Developmentally Appropriate
Materials Ensure Success

Moving with Math® programs are designed to help students build a knowledge bank as they make the transition from the concrete to abstract mode of learning. Every lesson provides an opportunity for students to discover math concepts as they explore with manipulatives, draw pictures and practice.

Teacher Manuals

Manuals provide everything
 the teachers need.

Step-by-step scripted lessons make it easy to teach with manipulatives.
Assessment is built into the program. Pre- and post-tests measure progress by objective.
Tracking progress is easy. Daily reviews cycle through objectives. Reproducible reteaching pages are matched to objectives.
Objectives have a high match to standards. Call for your state’s correlation.

Student Books

Student pages provide extra practice after each manipulative-based lesson. Illustrations aid visual thinking.

Activity books focus on specific topics such as Numeration, Measurement, Geometry, Fractions, and Algebra. (80–104 pp. each)
In-depth teaching of math strands is based on research and test analysis.
Problem solving skills are strengthened as students learn to use a five-step plan and strategies to solve real-world problems.

Manipulatives

Moving with Math® is based on student learning with manipulatives.

Games and exploration make learning fun. Math is an adventure as students discover math concepts and patterns for themselves.
Exploration and practice with manipulatives engage students in an interactive learning environment.
Jean Piaget notes, “We remember 10% of what we hear, 30% of what we see, and 90% of what we do.”
