Title: Sales Representative
Reports to: National Sales Manager
Location: Minneapolis, MN

Math Teachers Press, publisher of Moving with Math Learning System has an immediate full-time, benefit-eligible opportunity in Minneapolis, MN. For over 35 years we have been providing a proven manipulative based learning system for struggling math students. Our programs integrate the essential components of successful Response to Intervention (RTI) in a systematic approach that develops conceptual understanding and has proven to raise achievement. This position offers you the opportunity to impact the future with educational solutions designed to provide results for all students. This position reports to the National Sales Manager and is responsible for achieving sales goals and developing new business. This includes the development of leads, growing business with existing and new accounts and collaborating cross-functionally with the sales team. Sales process includes planning, lead generation, pipeline management and implementation. Successful candidates instinctively use consultative selling skills to find solutions for customer needs. Travel to territory and trade shows is required.

Responsibilities:
• Employ effective consultative techniques including pre-call planning and productive questioning strategies that lead to winning business.
• Sell Moving with Math Learning System to meet and exceed revenue targets.
• Demonstrate superb organizational and follow-up abilities; maintain product knowledge of Moving with Math programs and technologies, the educational industry, and factors influencing the market environment.
• Demonstrate teamwork through sharing of best practices and working with cross functional teams.
• Build strong partnerships with customers to find solutions to match current needs and uncover future opportunities.
• Present materials at trade shows with potential customers in groups, one-on-one meetings, and in virtual meetings.
• Conduct on-site and virtual training workshops to assist in after-sales implementation.
• Follow up with customers to assure satisfaction, inquire about results, and to gather testimonials.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1+ years of inside and outside sales, business development experience with large account management.

Skills & Abilities
• Sales experience or aptitude via enthusiasm for the process of investigating, creating and fulfilling customers’ needs.
• Solid background in successfully meeting and exceeding sales goals.
• Confidence and experience in interacting with educators at all levels.
• An interest in math, literacy and student achievement
• Background in education, open to new learning
• Intrinsic drive, positively competitive
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
